After you have done that, turn the ignition and leave the coil wire hooked to the coil by removing it from the distributor. Ensure the loose wire is kept away from the battery to prevent an explosion.
Start rocking the distributor and watch for a spark on the coil. When you see where the spark is coming from after rotating, bolt the distributor down.
Electronic Timing Probe
Some of the cars with an electronic ignition have a magnetic sensor on them. The sensor fits on a tube with a front pulley.
So to set the timing, look out for a timing degree on the LED digital readout. Adjust the timing sensor probe to this mark.
